Heritage Preservation in East Central Europe: Practices, Resources, Communities
This lecture focuses on heritage communities and community heritage, exploring various ways to build connections between the two. A community-oriented approach is central to contemporary adaptive heritage reuse, where community is understood as a dynamic, open, and heterogeneous entity that evolves over time and encompasses conflicting views on heritage. Here, the lecturer will examine the links between communities and heritage in East Central Europe, the specific challenges that arise in this regional context, and the most effective approaches to fostering these connections.
